2026 Discover Botswana Photo Safaris are Done and Dusted - Here are the Photos
A week ago, I returned from more than a month in Africa. While there, I led two back-to-back safaris in Botswana, carrying us through the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park. These are areas I’ve visited more than a dozen times, and places I hope to visit a hundred more. They are rich with wildlife and photographic potential, and every single trip is different.
This year, the Okavango Delta was in record flood — far more water than usual, and a different array of wildlife than we typically encounter. That brought both opportunities and challenges. Roads were inundated, making access difficult, but water-dependent species expanded their ranges into areas that haven’t seen flooding in over 100 years.
Changes like these are exactly what keep me coming back year after year.
