I just wanted to offer a quick disclaimer: On YouTube recently, a company called “Starscope” has been heavily advertising a cheap telephoto, supposedly developed by “professional nature photographer David Shaw”. To be absolutely clear: THAT IS NOT ME!

I’ve gotten a number of emails and messages from clients and social media followers who have assumed I was associated with the product, since, you know, they use my name!

Honestly, it’s a weird ad. The voice-over sounds suspiciously digital, and there is no reference to who their David Shaw actually is. But one thing is clear, I have nothing to do with it.

Glad we got the settled.
