Wilderness Trips

I lead trips for Arctic Wild during Alaska’s summer. Canoeing, rafting, packrafting, backpacking, basecamps, and birding and photography specific trips are all on the list. Most of these trips head to Alaska’s Brooks Range and arctic coastal plain, but others venture to Katmai National Park to watch bears, western Alaska to see Walrus, and many places in between.

Few places offer a better chance to experience true wilderness and to see and photograph birds, wildlife, and wild landscapes. Check in with me to see which regularly scheduled trips I’ll be leading, or if you’d like discuss putting together a custom trip for you, your family, and friends.

It’s crazy to think it, but now is the time start thinking about summer of 2017. Start planning a trip now to assure your place on one of my trips next summer. Photography basecamp in Gates of the Arctic National Park anyone?

Summer 2016 I’ll be leading the following trips:

Early June: Backpacking in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (Full)

Late June: Gray-headed Chickadee Expedition in the Arctic Refuge (Custom Trip, Full)

July- Walrus and Brown Bears of Western Alaska (Custom Trip, Full)

August- Packrafting the Alatna River, Gates of the Arctic National Park (2 Spaces Available)
